We believe good tutoring should build understanding and confidence together, giving students stronger foundations and helping them feel more capable in the classroom and beyond.
How we work
Understand
We take the time to understand how each student learns, what they are confident with and where things are becoming difficult.
Adapt
If something is not making sense, we change the approach. Sessions are shaped around the student, their goals and what will help them make progress.
Encourage
Students need to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. We create a calm, supportive space where they can work things through and build confidence in their own ability.
Meet the tutor
Nicola
Founder & Lead Tutor
Nicola is an experienced secondary school mathematics teacher who has worked with students across a wide range of abilities and confidence levels. Her experience spans students aiming for the next grade through to those needing more targeted support to reach expected standards. She has also worked specifically in school based maths intervention, supporting students one to one when they needed more individual attention than a classroom could provide. That breadth of experience means Nicola can adapt quickly to the student in front of her, whether they are rebuilding confidence, preparing for an exam, tackling a particular area of maths or simply trying to find an explanation that finally makes sense.
Qualifications & background
Fully qualified mathematics teacher. Secondary school teaching experience. Mathematics intervention experience. One to one tutoring experience.
