Welcome to Remarkable Education. These terms explain the conditions that apply when using our website and booking or receiving tutoring services.
By confirming a tutoring booking and accepting these terms, you agree to the conditions below.
1. Our Services
Remarkable Education provides personalised mathematics tutoring, including regular tutoring, exam preparation and focused short term support.
Session duration, frequency, pricing and arrangements will be agreed with parents or guardians before tutoring begins.
We aim to provide high quality, individualised support, but cannot guarantee specific academic results or examination outcomes.
2. Enquiries and Bookings
Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee a tutoring place.
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Remarkable Education. A tutoring arrangement is confirmed once the agreed sessions and applicable terms have been accepted.
3. Fees and Payment
Tutoring fees will be confirmed before bookings commence.
Sessions are generally invoiced in advance in four weekly blocks. Families may also arrange to pay for a full school term in advance.
Payment must be made by the due date stated on the invoice. The parent or guardian responsible for booking tutoring is responsible for payment.
Where invoices remain unpaid, we may suspend future tutoring sessions after providing reasonable notice.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand that plans sometimes change. To manage our limited tutoring availability fairly, the following conditions apply.
Individual session cancellations
At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel a scheduled session without charge.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session, or failure to attend without notice, will incur the full session fee.
Where sufficient notice is provided, any prepaid session fee will be credited or refunded as appropriate.
Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule a session must be made at least seven days in advance.
Rescheduling is subject to tutor availability and cannot be guaranteed. If an alternative time cannot be arranged, the original session remains booked unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy.
Ending regular tutoring
Families wishing to discontinue regular, ongoing tutoring must provide at least two weeks' written notice.
Sessions scheduled during the notice period remain payable unless otherwise agreed.
Where tutoring has been paid for in advance, fees for unused sessions beyond the notice period will be refunded or credited.
We may consider exceptional circumstances on an individual basis.
5. Changes or Cancellations by Remarkable Education
Occasionally, sessions may need to be cancelled or rearranged due to illness or unforeseen circumstances.
If we cancel a session, we will endeavour to arrange a suitable alternative. Where this is not possible, any prepaid fee for that session will be credited or refunded.
6. Student Conduct and Responsibilities
We expect respectful communication and behaviour from students, parents and guardians.
We reserve the right to discontinue tutoring where behaviour is consistently inappropriate or disruptive, following reasonable communication with the family.
Parents and guardians are responsible for providing relevant information that may help us support their child's learning and wellbeing.
7. Learning Materials and Intellectual Property
Original learning materials and website content produced by Remarkable Education remain our intellectual property.
Materials provided to students may be used for their personal educational purposes but must not be reproduced, sold or distributed commercially without permission.
8. Privacy
Personal information is collected and managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
9. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies available under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on our website.
Where changes materially affect existing tutoring arrangements, we will provide reasonable notice. Changes will not retrospectively alter arrangements already agreed without appropriate consent.
